Gateway Pacific Properties and C&H Development combined to bring another major retailer to the City of Redding. Located on Hilltop Drive, this 30,000‑square-foot building is the new home of Best Buy, an electronics retail store. PACE engineer, Fred Lucero, designed the site improvements, as well as the improvements on Browning Street and Hilltop Drive. PACE also provided construction staking for all of the improvements, which were constructed by Axner Excavating of Redding.
Redding Christian Fellowship, located on Victor Avenue, has just completed the first phase of a multi-phase expansion plan. In this first phase, improvements included construction of a new 7,300‑square-foot sanctuary and classroom facility. Improvement and expansion of the existing parking area and addition of two other parking areas were included. A secondary access road was constructed to connect the facilities to Mistletoe Lane. Cost for the first phase of improvements was $3.0 million.
BCM Construction was the General Contractor and Gary Hawkins, out of Chico, was the Project Architect. Kevin Maple was Project Manager for the site improvements designed by PACE.
PACE would like to welcome Blue Shield to their new office building here in Redding. As part of their overall site development, PACE was contracted to design the Bechelli Lane improvements along the frontage of their building. Improvements were designed by Fred Lucero and included storm drain facilities, street widening, a new landscape median and turn lane, and new signals. The developer was Bosco Real Estate Development, Project Management was by Williams + Paddon, and DPR Construction was the General Contractor. PACE was also contracted to do the construction staking.
Three Seasons Development undertook the daunting task of dealing with 6 different property owners to assemble 14 different parcels to develop an in-fill subdivision in east Redding. The developer, Buz Loring, used his patience and perseverance to acquire the property, acquire off-site rights-of-way, and to obtain City approval. East Park Subdivision includes 52 lots spread over 15.1 acres and is surrounded by existing development. Extra amenities were incorporated into the subdivision by the developer to increase the density above the base density pursuant to the new City of Redding Zoning Ordinance. The end result will undoubtedly be another successful subdivision by Three Seasons Development.
Mountain Properties, Inc. has completed street and utility improvements for the final phase of Land Park
Subdivision. Located on the ridge adjacent to the Sacramento River, Land Park Subdivision created 104 view lots surrounded by open
space. With homes built by Palomar Construction and Insignia Builders, Land Park set a standard that has been popular with home
buyers. Land Park was designed by Fred Lucero and constructed by J.B.
Excavating, with grading by Hoy and Son Construction.
Hilltop Drive has taken on a new look with the addition of 136,000 square feet of new retail space. Gateway Pacific Properties and C & H Development teamed up to bring six well-known retail companies to Redding in this $20.0 million project. PACE engineers Kevin Maple and Fred Lucero designed the streets and site improvements, which included an underground storm water detention facility. Reeve-Knight Construction was the General Contractor and Axner Excavating constructed the streets and site improvements.
